Annie McQueen

Raised in Sheffield in the North of England, twenty six year old Annie has a warmth and integrity to her that is as instantly apparent in her personality as it is in her music. She is a genuine talent. And has a wicked sense of humour!

Annie has been writing songs and working with producers for many years, creating music from her soul. Her combination of power, multi-octave range, sincerity, tenderness and melancholy gives her voice a quality that is truly World Class. She has an extremely powerful voice, yet still able to pull back and create the sweetest, softest sound, raising hairs on the backs of audiences necks!

Annie has music in her blood. Her natural rhythm and soul are inherent in her performance. Both her parents are accomplished singer/songwriters.
They would regularly perform at local venues, with her two sisters, where they would delight audiences of all ages, performing acoustic Celtic folk, blues and country and pop from the 60’s.

Despite graduating with honours from the London Collage of Fashion, the writing was on the wall. Annie dedicated her life to music. Her sound and talent is in the same camp as Kelly Clarkson/Christina Aguilera/with a little Alicia Keyes thrown in!

Along with her ability to always be able to connect with her audience, Annie has a natural sense of style and a feisty, fun nature. She is a girl’s girl with her bunny girl looks, yet the intelligence, grit and savvy needed to survive the music industry. She is currently ‘Artist of The Month’ for Phoenix FM.com.

Along with recording the duet "How Sweet" with World Music Artist Salif Keita, Annie has worked with many producers in the UK and in the United States, providing vocals and writing songs in Los Angeles and New York. Her funky dance track "Baby I'm Number 1" was a global success on the dance scene, with Dave Storm at Ceremony Records providing a trance remix, on which Annie co-wrote, co-produced and provided the vocals on.

She has many credits as a session and backing vocalist, with production houses always asking her back to do more!
